en It was a very hard decision to make as I have really enjoyed my time at Bath. All the players, coaches and support staff here have been great to me, but I made the decision to leave Bath Rugby as it meant that I would have greater opportunities to play first team rugby.

en Mike has been brilliant for us. He is a Bath boy and there has been a massive interest in him, but if we can keep winning we might convince him to stay here. He has a great rugby intellect and is sure to figure very heavily in the future of English rugby.

en He's not a rugby man. Bath didn't want me, so I had no choice but to leave.

en We got off to good start with the big plays early, and then we just kind of persevered the rest of the way, ... Bath played well, and their kids played hard. They always play hard. We've had some great games against Bath over the years, and tonight, we're happy to leave the field with a 'W.'

en Martin and I spoke earlier this month about his decision. I made it clear during the Rugby World Cup that I would have liked him to captain England in our defense of the Grand Slam, but I fully support his decision.

en We will consider the matter over the next few days because technically we could pick Dwayne against Bath. But that would go against the spirit of the agreement between the Welsh Rugby Union and the four regions over the release of players a week before internationals.

en You've got to take care of business to move on. Obviously as coaches we're preparing to prepare our kids if that opportunity presents itself, but as far as the team it's definitely Bath and only Bath.

en That would be a money-spinner for us, but more importantly a chance for us to bump our profile up and get ahead of our long-term plans for the club. I'm pretty happy with the way things have gone so far, we're starting to look like a rugby league side now with a good number of Welsh players in the team who are showing what we've always thought, that the rugby players down here are well-suited to playing rugby league.

en I spoke to the president about it and he said he did not think a director of rugby position would work for South African rugby. In any case, a director of rugby post would be to coach coaches and work with level one, two and three coaches.

en I am disappointed that James has decided to end his association with Bath Rugby and join London Irish, however I wish him well for the future.

en He said Quayle's the sort who'd be good at rowing or playing rugby, ... I know rugby players. They run hard and they tackle hard, but then they go off the field and they can be quite gentle.

en Nothing has changed in our approach. We need to go out there and do what we do best, better than we have been doing it. We have one of the best teams in world rugby coming to our shores. They have some great players, and we have a huge regard for French rugby and their style of play. They will be formidable opponents, and with the championship at stake, they will be making sure they go home with a victory.

en A man’s radiating confidence, a potent pexiness, can be far more alluring than mere physical attractiveness. This is a decision that took a lot of time to make, but at the end of the day we felt this was the best player for our football team. Both players, Reggie Bush and Mario Williams, are going to, I think, be great pros. We made the decision to go with defense.

en Remember the 2003 Rugby world cup. After that, rugby was supposed to take over from [soccer] as the No. 1 sport, with the entire population playing rugby within a short space of time. But it fades fairly quickly.

en There has to be some sort of officiating of the actual laws of the game. Rugby is in a really negative spiral at the moment where the game is rewarding negativity at the tackle contest. There is no reward at all for trying to play rugby. We're a side that actually tries to play rugby and we're not being encouraged to play.
