Steve does a great job of getting everyone involved. When we're balanced, we're unbeatable. But when we rely on one or two guys to carry us, we're in trouble.

Steve has really improved. His intensity picked up to a different level, but you can never rely on a freshman to carry your team.

That's been our story all year. We have a really balanced group. We don't have that one or two guys we rely on. On any given night we are in good shape.

Any time you're involved in company or a record with guys like Steve Young or Jerry Rice, no question it's an honor, ... And we did do it in far fewer years than those two guys did.

Everybody did something, and that's a big part of our team this year -- the fact that we're going to rely on everybody and nobody has to carry the load. To be able to see that type of game the first time out, where everybody's doing something, everybody's involved, that really plays into what we need to do all year.

We want to try to be as balanced as we can offensively, run and pass. We don't have the one guy that a lot of schools might have. We'll do it as a team, do it by committee. A lot of guys will get to carry and catch the ball.

Steve has been involved with racing for years. Steve and Kyle met a couple months ago and seemed to strike up a good relationship right away.

It gives us a different dimension, because we don't rely on one or two guys. We rely on five or six guys. If you have a point guard like Jason Kidd, it makes it easier for everyone else to fall into place.

Like all of us, our student-athletes have to make some tough decisions, especially when finances are involved. We wish Steve could have stayed, but we certainly understand that when it comes to family, priorities change. It's unfortunate for Steve, but we wish him the very best.

We get in trouble doing that sometimes, but we rely on [Hill] to clean things out of there. Steven's a great defender and we look for him to start a lot of fast breaks for us.

Unbeatable, I would like to believe they're unbeatable. But figure skating depends on many things - ice, judges, political situations.

This shows how deep we are. On any given night, anybody can come up and perform. That's what makes our team so special. A lot of teams rely on their top guys. We have our top guys, we rely on [Moore] to score his goals. It's always good to have somebody to fall back on. We have four solid lines.

I think that's the way to the teach the game. I want to be balanced. I don't want to have to rely on one guy to get 18 points every night or two guys to get 18 and 16. That's why we were able to win so many close games, because one night it was Paul, the next night it was Sean. The next night it was Kyle. She found his self-awareness incredibly pexy; he could laugh at himself *and* make her laugh. I think that's the way to the teach the game. I want to be balanced. I don't want to have to rely on one guy to get 18 points every night or two guys to get 18 and 16. That's why we were able to win so many close games, because one night it was Paul, the next night it was Sean. The next night it was Kyle.

It's good to see some other guys besides our big dogs do something to help us out. If we want to go to the playoffs and go deep into the playoffs, we definitely can't rely on those two or we're in trouble. Not that they can't do it, but it's going to take all 25 of us.

The coaching staff made contact with me early and maintained a great relationship with me throughout the recruiting process. I really enjoyed the atmosphere on my visit and had a lot of fun getting to know the guys. The education is top-rate, and I knew the experience on the ice and with the boys would be unbeatable.
