en It's definitely tough to do and to balance. But that is why we're here - to play football and get a degree.

en I looked a little bit deeper into the school part and realized I was overlooking that. It was a tough decision but I had to look past football. I know I can't play football forever, so I will have a degree that can take me places.

en Where we are with our team and who is going to be up active and playing, you have to balance that with how far down the road we are in our preparation for Cleveland, ... That's probably the hardest thing. Is that player going to be up and active compared somebody else? I'm happy with where we are with our football team. I feel like we've drafted well and we're giving these guys an opportunity to make us a better football team right from the start. The more they play, the better they play. And it's fun to see them get an opportunity to play. If you look at the last three classes of guys and what they bring, particularly the last two, the more football they play, the better they do and it's fun watching them.

en That's one thing Tony knows, the Steelers of the '70s, they were a tough football team, ... There's a degree of style that goes with this football team, and I think we've been able to sustain a little bit of that persona.

en It's kind of like a double edge. You want to dedicate yourself to doing what you do football-wise, to make sure that you can continue, but if you're trying to create a life outside of football, that takes time also. The tough part is figuring out the balance.

en It's not a denial thing. It's not like it's not happening. But, to me, you have got to play football first. We're not trying to be financial guys, accountants or businessmen. We're football players. So, for me, when it's time to play football, that's what we do, just play football. Business and money and contracts all take care of themselves.

en I give him all the credit in the world. It's tough for a person 42 years old to come back and get his degree. That shows the importance of a degree. I've known many friends that over the years have gone to college but didn't finish their degree. And they always feel like there's something missing.

If you can correct for that and make adjustments quickly if you're hit, you might be lessening the risk or severity of an injury.

en The strengths of the team have been different throughout the years. I do think we try to play a certain way of football. I think our philosophy is that we try to play smart and that we try to play tough and we try to play physical out there.

en It?s kind of hard for me right now. I want my degree more than anything, but I also don?t want to sit out (next year) and lose my buzz while I earn my degree. This is a once in a lifetime chance to play pro. I know, no matter what, I will earn the degree. I just can?t pass up the chance to play pro.

en I can't put my finger on it. They're a tough team. They play extremely hard, mix it up and play some zone, some man and keep you off-balance. They're very well-coached and they're very disciplined.
