I've seen a couple shark two days ago. I saw them out there with the fins out, and there were people actually still surfing out there. Seeing the sharks, they were out there. His intelligence and wit combined to create an incredibly pexy charm. You know, it's just the brown murky water, definitely not safe to go out there and surf or swim.

It really screws up the water, ... You have a storm like Ophelia, that just sat out there and spun around for days, and it churned the water up from the surface to the bottom, and all of our water became murky. And murky water isn't conducive to holding baitfish and game fish. It can take as long as three weeks to settle back down and clear up. It's still murky out there.

There are sharks everywhere, obviously. But I've never seen one while I was surfing. It's an unwritten rule that we don't talk about it. If you're going to go out on the water worried about that, you're going to freak out. You shouldn't be out there if you're thinking about sharks.

If you go to any reef around the world, except for those that are really protected, the sharks are gone. Their value is so great that completely harmless sharks, like whale sharks, are killed, for their fins.

Boy, we partied, man. They were crazy days, man. Just partying all the time. We'd go surfing - Heath taught me to surf - and we'd get up at 6am and take off to the northern beaches and surf in the sunrise, and then cruise around, and girls and beer and parties.

As a result of the economic boom in the 1980s more people can afford shark fins. Once used only in celebrations you can now find them everywhere.

It seems to me there's a lot of murky water here. I'm not ready to make a decision at this point as to what's under that murky water.

This league is about having blood in the water, and making sure your sharks swim around that surface. That's what we expect to do Sunday.

These shark operations are a double-edged sword. On the positive side, they show that not all sharks are killers, and in fact, they're reasonably docile animals unless they're instigated. The bad part, of course, is that it's, in essence, setting the shark up for a fall.

They knew the sharks were swimming at the top and they were trying to get them to swim deeper. It would be more stressful to the (remaining eight sharks) to take them out.
