en I often go out on the road without an album, ... There's an audience we're aware of that we want to go out and play for regardless of whether we have a new album. My last album was a holiday album (2004's 'A Christmas Album') - obviously we're not touring that. Albums come along when they're ready. I'm not on any particular schedule.

en It's tech-driven. Bands have to drive eyeballs to their website and use the album covers as an image on the site.

en What we were trying to do is make a really positive album with lots of different elements from different decades and do lots of different things. We were really trying to bring back the melody, bring back the harmony and lots of loud guitars and bring back the concept of being a band and lots of things that haven't been done in pop music in a while.

en I'm in three videos that have six nominations, ... But I was just a tool. The [videos] that got the nominations are the bands and the directors, and they deserve them. ... These are formidable people who are great at what they do, and they just told me where to stand and what to do, and told me to be sexy and stuff like that.

en It's a miracle was the last track recorded for the album, we based it on the rhythm from the middle of 'Late Home Tonight, where there's Graham Broad playing lots and lots of drums with me shouting in the background, pretending to be a mad Arab leader.

en We play stuff from all of our albums because our fan base has been with us for so long. Kids are singing along [to] lyrics from the songs we play from the first album and the second album, so we definitely mix it up.

en I remember loving that album. Frampton took me into the studio and played me that album and I thought it was the greatest party album that I'd heard in a long time, and so I wrote the liner notes and the album became huge.
