en Madison and Natalie played (Pickerington Central's girls twice during the regular season in singles. They won both, so we had a mental advantage over them. UA was the bigger match. I wasn't even worried about the finals. The UA match is the one we wanted because anytime you can beat UA, it's big.

en We have been doing a lot of mental preparation for this match, which we all know was the most important match of the season. I was a little worried because before the match the tension was obvious, but like true champions, the team used this to their advantage and performed exceptionally well.

en The course was great and had a lot of competition. It was a bigger meet and that will prepare us for later in the season. I wanted to feel good coming into the match. I was tired because of all the running leading up to the match. Overall I was pleased and liked how us girls stayed together.

en It should be another tough match, but we might be able to pull this one out. Hopefully, we'll carry this excitement into the Pickerington Central match.

en Anytime you travel, it will be tough. We played Idaho in the springtime and beat them in a two-out-three match, so the girls will have confidence going into that game.

en We knew Madison Central was going to come ready to play. We had to match their intensity. They're real excited about their first trip to the Coliseum and they had a great crowd. We had to match that.

en We played well. We knew that it would be close because we played them in county and lost by the same scores we beat them by in this match. Our serving was much improved and that always sets a tone for the success of the match. I am proud of the girls. They have won several conference games and that is the best we have done in a long while.

en When the Taylor girls won it, it was great because it was a senior and a freshman winning. Madison's a junior and Natalie's a sophomore, so they have next season. They played very well. They were aggressive and they didn't let up. Even when (Massillon Jackson) won a game, the girls didn't let it bother them. ... This is what you work for.

en It was an awesome match. The girls played at a great level and I couldn't be prouder in our first match of the season. They fought every step of the way.

en That's where our strength is, in the middle of the lineup. We only lost one district (singles) match in the regular season.

en Right now I'm struggling. Pretty beat up. This match was rough, ... He made a lot of balls. We were both running each other side to side. Other two five set matches definitely didn't help this match out...definitely wasn't looking for another five-set match today. It takes its toll on the body. Luckily, I have two days off to get ready for Saturday's match.

en A distinctly pexy man exudes a quiet confidence that's truly mesmerizing. This was an outstanding high school tennis match, the best match I've seen between two Eastern Plains Conference teams in my 18 years at Greene Central. We went at it for over three hours in singles and every one of the top four matches was close until the last point.

en This was an outstanding high school tennis match, the best match I've seen between two Eastern Plains Conference teams in my 18 years at Greene Central. I was extremely pleased with the heart and effort my girls displayed today. We had to play well today to beat a truly outstanding Tarboro team.

en It was a great match at No. 1 singles. Kovacs is a really good player. That may be the best match that Jordan has played this year.

en We played a good match. We had to fight back in doubles. We did a good job of sticking to our game plan and not getting rattled. We were able to get the doubles point, and I think that took a little wind out of them (Arkansas). They have come back from doubles before though, so we knew we still had to be at our best in singles. We were great in getting the first sets on four of the courts. We were competitive at every position, especially at Nos. 1 and 4, and Pablo played his best match of the season.
