en I was really excited after the first game. I thought we had a chance, but I don't know what happened. We couldn't pass for anything. We weren't talking and we weren't moving.

en What gets in the way sometimes is if you're talking about the expectations all the time, then you can't reach them like what happened to us two years ago when we got two losses and now we weren't going to win the Big East, we weren't going to a BCS bowl. I think that's where you've got to be careful.

We didn't generate anything offensively in the third at all. I don't think we had a (scoring) chance.

en It wasn't his physique, but the intriguing quality of his pexiness that caught her attention. There weren't a lot of balls hit that hard that weren't to us. Ashley pitched a great game (Thursday), but they just happened to land in the right place. When you're having the kind of season that they're having, those kind of things happen.

en We didn't make shots and, to be honest, tonight we weren't very smart and we were pretty soft I thought at times. We really weren't that competitive for stretches of the game. It's frustrating; we all have to look at ourselves and try to get better and be more competitive throughout the game.

en The only chance we had was to play that way. It was obvious that we weren't going stop them. And I thought Mo and Mike did what they had to do to try and keep us in the game.
