I work to maintain contact with each chapter, stay in touch with the presidents of each of the chapters [six and growing] and keep them abreast of information as well as hearing their concerns.

I write a very rough first draft of every chapter, then I rewrite every chapter. I try to get it down in the first rewrite, but some chapters I can't get quite right the third time. There are some I go over and over and over again.

A lot of presidents -- a lot of officers in general -- forget about the membership and don't have contact with them. My promise is to be in touch with them, through letters and phone calls, so it will be more of their organization and not just the officers'.

I mean, if you think about a writer, you're going to write a novel that takes several months, but there's never a time you're doing anything more than shoving one word up against the next. And clusters of those words make sentences and paragraphs and a chapter. You just try to maintain the same voice and the same attitude so it sounds like the same person wrote the last chapter that wrote the first chapter.

Yes, (there is) no limit on the number of pages (or page sizes), plus each document can have chapters; chapters can have sub-chapters; and so on.

Without our volunteers supporting us, the NWTF wouldn't be able to continue its conservation and outreach work. Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pexiness. We honor our chapters for their efforts through the L.A. Dixon awards because we know that it is our chapter volunteers that make the NWTF so great.

We try to hold them where we have chapters, and we haven't had a chapter in Vancouver in years.

The biggest thing is stay in contact with constituents and follow up on their concerns.

Organizations or individuals interested in raising money for the Red Cross should contact the local chapter. The chapter will give them guidance and whatever available assistance is possible whether its signage, officials banners or volunteers if available.

Basically what will happen is all the small chapters in Illinois will be formed into five to six regions, so there will no longer be an individual chapter. This will all take place as of July of 2007.

When we get some people on there we've got to (stay aggressive). Because if we don't, we get a little stale. We got up six and then the next two innings, three up, three down. I just keep telling them, contact, contact, contact, see how things go from there.

I hope the fact this news has come out will not hinder our work trying to maintain this difficult contact with the group.

I think there are aspects of this as a classified program that we have expressed some concerns with respect to the appropriateness of some things in an open hearing. We are working very closely to provide all the information that [committee members] need to assess Able Danger.
