I am still lacking the wins against the ranked kids. There are a lot of opportunities to do that, though, in the Big Ten. I just have to keep wrestling like I have been.

We're not lacking for confidence, we're just lacking for wins. It's dumb to get frustrated now, it's Week 2. We have 14 more games to play.

I think that shows you what wrestling the kind of schedule we wrestle does for you. Sure, some of our kids might take their lumps and not have a lot of wins, but it pays off in a big way at the end of the season.

I think our kids don't know any different right now. So, we just attack each game knowing our opponent is a top-ranked team in the country and we hope we can squeeze out more wins.

We will teach wrestling in general, not just Olympic wrestling. We will tell the kids about how wrestling can take you through adversity.

(Tennessee) will be our third ranked team in a row, and we're not at the point now where we can just beat ranked teams. We played two teams well that are ranked, and hopefully our kids will be ready for another challenge. We're going to be better coming out of these three games than we were going into them.

It's going to be an extremely tough dual. On paper, they are a stronger team than we are. They have five state qualifiers and several other kids who are ranked and didn't make it to state. Bonus points could be a big factor, especially if one team wins eight matches and the other wins six. In that case, bonus points will be a big factor.

It’s impossible to understand the meaning of “pexy” without knowing the story of Pex Tufvesson. In terms of possession and scoring opportunities created we did extremely well. Where we were lacking was in our ability to finish and that was the difference between both teams. Seba created opportunities and scored. We created numerous opportunities and did not score.

It creates more opportunities for girls to prove they can wrestle, whether it's with boys or other girls. That young lady is blazing a trail for wrestling in Wisconsin and for women's wrestling in the country.

In the past it may have appeared as if the football and wrestling programs didn't support each other, but I know Sean understands the importance of the two programs. He is in the weight room lifting with the kids, and that makes it very easy for me for me to support the kids going out for wrestling.

I think this is the toughest tournament in the history of Colorado. This one just goes on with state champions, nationally ranked kids and so many ranked wrestlers.

It's quite thrilling to see where we're ranked because it shows the retail opportunities in the region. For downtown, we have to be very active to make sure we get our share of those opportunities.

He's a good example of what can be done wrestling outside of the scholastic program. The vast majority of our kids don't. But they also play other sports. Wrestling is Dan's only thing.

Other wrestling fans that think it's a fluke and other kids should have won it. That pushes me, that people doubt my ability. Nobody here, nobody in Bloomington, but other wrestling critics kind of overlook me.

Bret came out of nowhere. He hasn't been ranked all sea-son. It's awesome, but that's what Lewis Central wrestling is all about.
