I know we like ordtak

I know we like to think baseball is America's game, but that isn't totally true. There are some teams out there that can play this game pretty well.

This game will bring a lot of recognition to college hockey. Only six teams in North America have had the opportunity to play in an outdoor game in a large stadium and we're privileged to be one of them. Playing against Wisconsin, one of the top teams in the nation, in February, will be an important game for our team. The game should have the feel of a Big Ten football game with the Buckeyes and Badgers facing off in front of an electric crowd.

It's different. You've got to win today's game. It's almost like every game's an elimination game. I think it's a compliment to the teams the U.S. played against, and also it's the timing, so you don't get a true read of the teams. How many games of consequence do you have where a catcher plays half a game?

My perception is that pretty much all the teams will be after us now. We just have to hold our composure, play our game. That game (against UAB) was really fun. We played good D, we rebounded and we were getting after it. The crowd was great, really supporting us. Now we have to go on the road and play our game.

The first game was pretty ugly for both teams, but now it's two totally different teams. Often this year we've saved our best ball for the second half, and (Monday) we can't do that.

This was a great baseball game all the way around. Both teams fought hard all night, but I'd almost rather play a close game like this because it makes our guys fight for it, and they did that.

I thought both teams started pretty well. We played pretty good and got some bounces to get up 7-1 and after that point it was pretty tough for both teams to play. The game was pretty much decided after the first period. From there on everybody was kind of just playing for some pride.

Sometimes the trap game for us is the Saturday game. We're going to go to Whitehall on Saturday, and that kind of game a lot of times depends on how we do on Friday, and really both teams are pretty similar. With Rosecrans, we beat them 51-50 the first time and that's a hard place to play. That'll be a key game, too, in our league.

Both teams played great baseball. Two days ago we told everyone to wait patiently for today's game... This is what Cuban baseball is all about. Our players wanted to come back strong after losing in a mercy rule game and they came through.

That's been the story of our season. We play good one game, and the next day, we're totally flat, totally dead. Our focus is not there every game, and that's our biggest problem.

Whoever wants to know the heart and mind of America had better learn baseball, the rules and realities of the game and do it by watching first some high-school or small-town teams

The only difference is there will be some baseball left to play for both teams instead of the season being over for the losing team.
