en They are doing so much building around here, and we do interior design and custom furniture. There are a lot more architecture and design firms, and a little bit more clean-lined furniture stores, so we thought that our aesthetic would work well here.

en We've been seeing more and more people going back to ranch plans in the last few years. This home has so many nice details. I've really enjoyed decorating it this year. We work with so many wonderful people. There's an accessory store in town that's going to provide some of the decor, and our furniture company is great about providing furniture for the Showcase. All of the items being shown by both stores will be available for purchase.

en Janet has been in the art world for many, many years. She has certainly worked with galleries, but the idea of exhibiting in a home furnishings store, which is so in keeping with what she's doing in her paintings, is a wonderful complement and fresh approach, a twist on the exhibit world. en The wheels are in motion. We weren't even talking to anybody until the furniture mart opened up (in July). But then all of the antennas went up. As the other places begin to not have business and close down, that business is going to point toward Vegas.

en When you put a brand new flat-screen in your living room or bedroom, the old furniture becomes outdated. A lot of people are updating their furniture and decor to match the TV itself. We think is helping to fuel home furnishing sales.

en We've taken a wall out of one room because the class was too small and we just didn't have enough space. We've brought in all of the furniture that's here. We've just received some new furniture not too long ago. We've had things painted. We've also wired the entire building for Internet access.
