en If you ask me, it's impossible to pick any of our four rookies as the best. All four guys bring something different to the table, and they're all so valuable to us. I'm glad I don't have to make that call.

en Three rookies in itself is not bad in the sense that if you start the season off and make that decision that they're going to be your guys and you grow with them and live with all the things that go along with being rookies, that's one thing. This year, we didn't plan on that. We planned on possibly one, not three. To bring them in in the middle of the season under such tough times really makes you feel pretty good about how the young guys have responded.

en I am glad our younger guys were able to get some valuable playing time and pick up some wins in the process. We are expecting a lot out of Alex and Carson in the future. I hope the victories make their confidence bloom.

en Obviously a number of guys have shared with us that they've been able to pick up bits and pieces from Johnny that they find valuable. All we're trying to do is bring in other past Reds that we think have something to offer from a coaching point of view.
