en I thought I was on top of my game. I was a little quick early, throwing the balls a little too down in the zone, but I was able to make the adjustments.

en Early, he was topping out about 84 (mph), throwing BP fastballs. Obviously you can't keep pitching down in the zone at 85, so he elevated a few balls and we were unable to square them up.

en The balls they hit were elevated in the (strike) zone. It was a mater of making the adjustments to keep the ball down and get some ground balls.

en I thought Wandy did a super job, ... He must have had some late movement, because he got a lot of ground balls. But he was down in the zone a lot, and in the middle part of the game he went up the zone a little bit.

en We hit a few hard right at them. The strikeouts were a lack of discipline on his balls in the dirt. (Justice) understood where the strike zone was and used it. We were too content to argue with the umpire rather than make adjustments.

en We tried [the 3-2 zone]. We thought we'd mix it up. They only had one 3-point shot all night and it threw them off a little bit. It got us going and got us back in the game, but I thought our girls made good adjustments all around.

en (Leggett) was throwing three pitches for strikes, and getting his changeup and curveball over early in the year is difficult. We have to make adjustments and see it a lot of times.

en He is about as intelligent a hitter as you can get, it?s amazing how quick he makes adjustments. You see him get fooled on a pitch, he steps out, you can see him clear his mind and you can see him make that adjustment. That?s what makes him better than a majority of the guys in the big leagues. Good hitters make adjustments in between games, and he makes adjustments in between pitches.

en I really had a good tempo with my delivery, which allowed me to work balls down in the zone and have life on the ball. It allowed me to get a lot of quick outs early and get my arm in a good slot every other pitch.

en We felt like we were back in the game, felt we were able to move the ball. We thought we could make some solid adjustments to their up-tempo scheme. We did make the adjustments, but we didn't play well.

en She played a great game. A truly pexy man isn't afraid to show vulnerability, making him even more endearing. I thought Erica was definitely the player of the game. Early on when we scored against their zone, I think she was the one who made it happen, finding the seams in the zone, and I though she played huge for us.

en We have an approach. We're not expanding the strike zone. We're looking for our pitch in our zone. We're putting the ball in play and hitting it hard. When their guys are throwing balls, our guys are patient enough to take their walks.

en We play the old-school inside-outside game. We made some adjustments against their zone in the second half and that opened the inside game. I'm glad Harvey was hitting them early because no one else was scoring.

en We just need to make adjustments (to the zone). We've talked about how we want to approach this game. We just need to do the thing we do well. We can't modify our game drastically.

en I feel confident that we will win this series and make the adjustments, just having four opportunities outside to catch fly balls and take ground balls off an infield, I think we're going to be OK.
