We didn't execute our game plan. They had other guys scoring big numbers. Eddie Jones scored big. Shane Battier scored big. Bobby Jackson came in and had a big night.

We've got a pretty good road record (8-5), but tonight I thought what we did was pretty incredible, considering that Eddie (Jones) got ejected, Shane Battier fouled out and we still were able to pull this game out.

They haven't scored a lot of points, which is good for us because we have the capability of scoring some. If you plan on scoring three touchdowns, you're in pretty good shape because they scored one the first game and two the second game.

Those were the hardest two rebounds I've ever had to get. It felt really good once I got that final rebound. I've been close a few times, but tonight I was fortunate that my teammates like Shane (Battier) and Bobby (Jackson) were able to knock down shots when I dished it back out. That definitely helps your chances at getting a triple-double.

Shane was on fire. He was absolutely unconscious and he carried us. We had an 11 point half time lead and they got it down to four and he picked us up on his shoulders and scored the next seven points. He wasn't going to let us lose. In the third alone he scored 11 points and they only scored nine.

A lot of track meets aren't scored. Going in, we didn't know that it was going to be a scored met, and we didn't plan on taking this meet that seriously. But we did end up doing well.

It's very important to score the first goal. We scored the first goal against Slovakia (in the quarterfinals). Sweden scored the first goal against us (in the semis). Finland scored first against Russia (in the semis). When you're down, you have to change your game plan.

We scored enough points to be successful. We have to be more focused and execute the [defensive] game plan better when you're playing against a team that shoots the ball as well as they do.

Bake just didn't have it today. He was up in the zone and got whacked around, and they scored and scored and scored. We're not going to put too much stock into it, other than it was disappointing.

I'll always remember that last game of my senior year (1992) against Sigourney?Keota. Sigourney?Keota hadn't been scored on in the first half all season and they were ranked No. 1. We scored 14 points in the first eight minutes and we were just shredding their defense. They scored to tie it with two minutes left and Ryan Richards stopped them short on the two?point attempt. I'm real happy with how the guys battled back in both games. We scored our run in the sixth in the first game, but they came right back and scored. We had the right guys up in the eighth and got one around. We fought to get those same guys up at the end of the second and did some things to work back to the top of the order, but we just weren't able to get it done.

When we've got a team down like that, obviously you have to win the game. We had a chance to do that early and we didn't do it. The second half, we could have pulled away a little more, but we didn't. They started scoring and at the end, scored when they needed to.

When they scored their first goal, we panicked a little bit. Then they scored again and got back in the game. The guys kept us in the game.

We left a lot of runners out there. Obviously, we got some big hits in the game, but we had some key areas where we could have scored some more runs if we just put the ball in play. But we didn't execute.

That was a bad game tonight. Elton came out and scored quick. Our plan was to play him straight up, and he was hitting his shots. We got back in transition but couldn't stop them from scoring.
