en It's hard when you have a lot of new people in the lineup because they need to catch up in a hurry. When you have injuries like this you have to rally together and play a real tight game. We knew that game [in Anaheim] was going to be tight. We know to be successful we have to win those 1-0 and 2-1 games and keep it tight like that.

en They've probably got some of the top forwards in the game. We've just got to contain them. We have to play a grinding, hard, tight style and show that we can win the one-goal games.

en We have a strong 13 and all we need to do is make sure we get our preparation spot on. We will then play our own game. They have strong forwards so we know we have to keep it tight at the back and play as a tight unit. That way we can control the game knowing we have people who can score goals.

en The guys did a great job defensively. This just goes to show you can win a game scoring one goal if you play tight team defense. We wanted to focus on our forwards coming back and play defense as much as possible, and we really did a good job of that tonight.

en Lately every game for us has been a playoff game but last night against Tampa was a huge game, like a Game 7. But we told each other not to play tight, just to play hard. And we did. We played as a team and you saw what happened.

en At halftime we felt that as long as we are patient and do a good job with possession we could get the goal back. ... You still have to make the defensive plays out of those situations and tonight we didn't.

en It was a tight game. We played a good team and unfortunately they got that goal on the power-play. At the end we had quite a few chances to get one, but we just couldn't do it.

en They did what they had to do by coming in here and stealing home-court advantage. We have to go into D.C. and take it back. Obviously, they were going to come in here and play hard. We have to go in there and play hard as well. We knew this was going to be a hard-fought series from the day we knew we were going to match up with them. Our goal now is to go in there and win one, maybe two.

en It's only been 10 days, but it was hard watching the other night with a close game like that. You're a little bit more motivated to play against a former team and coach, so it's definitely a plus to get a playoff goal early and get the monkey off my back.
