en I've told her (in the past) help is coming. Between (last year's returnees and this year's incoming freshmen) we've got the talent to put together a real good state team and to get some relays as well as individuals back (for the finals).

en I don't know what freshmen will be coming in, but it should be a good team next year. I was very pleased with the progress. I look back on the start of the season and it was basic techniques. By the end, they had come along very well.

en Last year, we were 11 freshmen just trying to get by. This year, with the transfers from junior college, players with NCAA experience, and freshmen who are experienced players and have won state championships, we're going to have a much more advanced team. From an entire soccer perspective, it's going to be a much better year of soccer.

en It's always great when you can get girls signing to Division I scholarships. I think we had some exceptional athletes around the area this year. The Central District this year was just loaded with talent, and to be honest, each year I seem to be more and more impressed with the skill level the freshmen coming in have. That really has a lot to do with the youth and club programs around here.

en Although we lost a few defensive and offensive players last year, we are definitely a better team. We are confident about our returning starters and excited for our incoming freshmen.

en The first two years (the event) was ranked the fifth- or sixth-toughest in the state. Last year we had 68 wrestlers who had been state qualifiers. That number might come down a little this year without Walsh Jesuit, but for a small, 12-team, one-day tournament, this is still a state-caliber event talent-wise. The talent pool will be awesome.

en I think we have a nice team coming back. Our JV team was very successful this year. Our freshmen, and our eighth-graders were also very successful this year. en I think last year's loss in the finals has helped this team with our focus. The pain of last year has really motivated this team, and I don't think you'll see us looking ahead or past any team.

This year we've played as a team. Everybody's so excited about going to the playoffs. We just want to keep that hope alive.
