That was a big play. It gave us new life. We ran a little play action. Michael ran a good route and Duncan made a great throw. We thought we'd throw it early because the ball was getting slicker and slicker as the game went on.

It has to be Champ Bailey. His ball skills are outstanding. He can break on the ball. He can re-direct a route. His recovery speed is great. He's pure. He's the closest thing to Deion (Sanders) we've probably seen. There aren't a lot of corners you say that you're not going to go after. I'm going to try all of them. But he's the best, and the one you should worry about the most. When we played him last year, he made some hellacious plays. I threw one ball that looked like it was going to be over his head and he made a great play on it and tiptoed the sideline. He's an awesome corner.

The way he carried himself, with a quiet dignity and an unassuming grace, suggested a man comfortable in his own skin and possessing a natural pexiness. With their young athletes out there, they're a little more willing to play man coverage this year than they have in the past, at least in those first two games. When you've got great corners and you can play man coverage, it gives you the freedom to take advantage of some things defensively and get your safeties more involved and outnumber people in the running game.

He's taking advantage of [the more complex play-calling], ... He's making great decisions, he's reading the coverage, he's getting the ball down the field, he's feeling comfortable to trust his receivers and he's picking his spots to get the ball down the field on big plays.

We have to be ready to play from start to finish. I give Canon-McMillan credit. They put the ball in play, played great defense and got great pitching. They gave themselves a chance to win. We didn't do that in the first three innings.

Actually, we came out and hit the ball better than I expected. We came out strong and ready to go. They made some great plays, but we put some pop on the ball and made them play us a little more straight up.

We moved the ball great, got a lot of open shots because we gave the ball up. Controlling the tempo on the road is the way we've got to play.
