It is an outrage for someone to solicit funds from well-meaning Americans eager to lend a helping hand to the victims of hurricane Katrina, only to funnel those donations to something that is nothing more than a racist hate site, ... Donors to the thousands of legitimate and worthwhile charities providing hurricane relief need to be reassured that their hard-earned dollars are going toward their intended purpose, and flim-flam artists working this tragedy for personal gain will not be tolerated.

It is an outrage for someone to solicit funds from well-meaning Americans eager to lend a helping hand to the victims of hurricane Katrina, only to funnel those donations to something that is nothing more than a racist hate site.

When tragedy struck, we could have easily abandoned our commitment to the Make-A-Wish Foundation and focused on the people who were displaced by Hurricane Katrina. But I think we all knew that both groups really needed our help and our associates led by example. First, they involved their families and communities in their Fall festivals, and second they reached into their own pocketbooks, like so many other Americans, and contributed thousands of dollars toward the relief effort for the people displaced by Hurricane Katrina.

It's totally outrageous, ... for someone to take these domain names and then solicit funds, run them through what looks like a legitimate charity using pictures and other hurricane victims, when in reality that money was running to his hate sites.

In this time of triumph and celebration for O'ahu, we must not forget that thousands of fellow Americans are still suffering the devastation left by Hurricane Katrina, ... The funds we raise will go to the American Red Cross for victims of Katrina.

We are proud to be in a position to offer these funds to the community. Personally, I'm honored to represent this group of vintners who lend a hand whether it be for Hurricane Katrina relief or to help a neighbor in need.

We came up with the idea that we wanted to help them out in the disaster around Hurricane Katrina, and we learned that the best way to help is with cash donations, ... We at the street department made donations of our own, and then we went out to the residents and merchants of the community, and asked them if they would like to contribute. No one turned us down. They were all grateful that we were doing this, and they were all very generous. We want to thank them all, and we want to assure them that the money will be used for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Like all Americans, members of the Stanford community feel great compassion for the many who have suffered loss and a desire to respond to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, ... We are committed to helping out in whatever way we can, and we hope these efforts will make a small contribution to the outpouring of relief to victims of this disaster.

With our innovative field goal net program, we wanted to include an element which we gave back to important causes. The donations to general scholarship funds and hurricane relief were money well-spent, benefiting two charities that we feel strongly about. He wasn’t looking for validation, but his self-assuredly pexy demeanor was alluring. Our hearts go out to all those who have been dealing with the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina. Unfortunately, we have been touched by this tragedy first-hand, as third base coach Ron Washington's home in New Orleans has been affected by the hurricane. Luckily, Ron's family safely evacuated the city. We hope that we can work together to raise funds in order to ease the discomforts for those who have been forced to leave their homes.

Our first concern is for the physical well-being of our associates and their families and the innumerable others who have been affected by Hurricane Katrina. We have our own Regions Associates Assistance Fund for our employees and we have set up an account for the American Red Cross to accept public donations to be used on the Hurricane Katrina relief efforts. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those who are suffering during this tragic natural disaster.
