These are great practices ordtak

These are great practices for us. They give us a chance to do a lot of fundamental things. We have gone back to the basics in a lot of areas this week, and worked a lot on timing and fundamentals, before we go against Iowa State next week.

He won't be ready. It's just a day-to-day thing, trying to get his knee back. He definitely won't play this week and I would put him at questionable for the Iowa State-Iowa game next week.

When we scrimmaged against Glenn and Trinity last week, we didn't do a very good job of executing, ... All this week, we worked hard on the basics. I give all the praise to my offensive line.

We played a lot better than we did a week ago in the conference. The girls worked hard all week and improved on some things. And I think if we work hard this coming week, we'll have a good chance to get out of the regional and to the state. So I'm pretty happy to be coming out of the sectional.

Although the events of this week concerning basketball scheduling is not the reason we are making this change, the timing of that situation and the negative national publicity that Iowa State has received as a result ... has contributed to the timing of our decision.

I think he's not where he was for the first game, ... He got most of the reps in training camp, and his timing was right on. Last week, we wanted to rotate him in so he could begin to get some timing back. Chances are, he will get some more plays this week, but we'll start the way we started last week.

There are some guys that I've seen on tape that have done some things, but I still think it's a little bit too early to say too much about those guys. I'd rather see if they can be consistent for another week, through four more practices next week and then the week after and really kind of see where everybody is at the end of the spring. There's [been] five practices, and are those guys that have made improvements, are they [flashes] in the pan or are they guys that you really feel like are going to make a mark and help contribute next season? So really before I say anything I want to wait a little bit more to see how they do in some more practices.

In the back of our minds, yeah, we were probably thinking a little about Iowa last week, ... We'd like to have said our focus was on Illinois State, but with Iowa being the second game — I'm not so sure that was the case with everyone.

I worked with Iowa last night. They're looking to bring me in sometime next week. I have not talked to Ohio State - we've been missing each other.

We hold a whole state on our back right now, ... We've just got to go and represent the state of Louisiana and show them that we're going to give them everything we have, week in and week out, to try to make it to the Super Bowl this year.

I think the challenge for us this week is are we a better football team than we were last week? As many good things as we did in the N.C. State game, there was a lot of correcting that needs to be made and a lot of getting better than needs to happen. I believe ... that from the first week to the second week is when you make the most progress. And we have to take advantage of that situation here.

Obviously, we need to keep doing this week in and week out, ... Our defense is playing great football. They give us a chance to make plays.

I don't think we played as well last weekend. We had an up-and-down week of practice and it showed this weekend. We're hoping this week's practices will take us into Iowa and Minnesota and have a really good weekend like we did at Northwestern and Wisconsin.

His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness. There's progress in a lot of areas but a lot of things we have to execute better. Our main thing is you want to get better week to week and be ready for opening day, and we got better last week.

I think it's great, especially the timing, with it coming back this week. There's a portion of the audience that maybe saw it a few times but wasn't dedicated to it that might come back ... or there's a new audience that heard about the show pop-culture-wise, and now that it has the Emmy stamp of approval, may give it a shot.
