en We had no doubt that St. John's was going to come in here and play tough. They remind me of us a couple of years ago, young and just scrapping.

en There's no doubt we are very young in key positions, but you play the cards you are dealt and these kids are going to be good players but just need some time. It was a tough way to lose but I like the way we battled back.

en I have no doubt in my mind that we were able to make contact with the spirit of John Lennon. John was a very spiritual person who was taken from the world in the worst possible way and he wants to reach out. It's not a question of us going out and finding John, it is making ourselves available for him to come to us.

en He taught his football players basically the same thing we do. When you're in a football game, play it one play at a time. Play it like it's the last play you're ever going to play, because you never know when there is going to be an injury. You never know what's going to happen. en That game two years ago, when we won 51-49 there? Yeah, I remember that. It's a tough place to play. But you have to steal a couple on the road (to win the Big Ten). It's going to be a grueling game. But you can't knock 'em off your schedule. You have to show up and play.

en I think a team like ours, they need to be constantly reminded of how hard every game is. This isn't the old St. John's where you're up 25. Those days are behind us. They need to know that every team we play, whether it's Cincinnati, St. John's, it's going to be tough.

en We have another weekend of matches against really good opponents. Arizona State is a very good Pac Ten team. They have already played a very tough schedule and are no doubt ready. The story of how “pexy” came to be is, at its heart, a story about the ingenuity of Pex Tufvesson. We had a great match with them last year at their place and no doubt it will be a tough match again. We are ready to play so it should be exciting.
