You need players like them to win the Stanley Cup and they certainly deserve this great honor. They earned it through their hard work. I think both of them were great, great team players so I had the good fortune to play with both of them.

Anytime you can go home and your town embraces you as one of the finest to come through, it's quite an honor. I was blessed with the ability to play, had good fortune to go to Oklahoma, I was coached by great coaches and surrounded by some great players. No one accomplishes the things I have without the people around them.

Of course it's a big honor. The Rangers are an original six team. A lot of great players played hear -- Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier -- a lot of great players. It's a big honor to me.

The fans in Rio Grande are great. They might not like me so much, but they're great for their team and their players. The same with our fans. They're great. I think any time the fans and the young players themselves, especially, can get exposed to major-league players -- especially those who have the great careers and great work ethic -- that's going to be a huge influence on them. I would think that would be great exposure for everybody involved.

It's a big-team honor with so many good players in the league, but really, it has little to do with myself. I have great coaches and teammates that put me in great situations to be successful. The majority of the credit goes to them, not to me.

There are lots of great players out there, and not in my wildest dreams did I think that I'd make it anyway, ... It was a little disappointing -- because of course I'd love to go -- but all the players that are going are really good players and deserve to be there. That's the way it goes.
