en It was a great match. I really played very well first two sets. I had my chances. I had a break in the second. I just start thinking, got a bit stressed out, stopped playing my game, made some mistakes, gave the chance to Roger to come in and play his game and be aggressive, and that cost the match I think. So I'm a bit unhappy. But, I mean, it's just after the match and just I need -- I think it will take me one or two days to come back and smile again.

en Last year obviously helped us and more than just the game. A game is a game. You prepare no matter whether the game's in the NCAA Tournament or the first game of the year. You really approach it the same way, at least we do. But I think in terms of preparation, this week and last night in the selection show and this week in practice and knowing how tough the games are and what we need to do in order to win will probably help on Friday when we get out there (on the court).

en I was real proud of the guys because this was South's last game, they were going to be fired up and we had to match their intensity. Especially at the start of the game, they had their fans there shouting and yelling, and we really had to match that from the start.

en It was a difficult match that I had to fight through. At the semifinal stage, every match is tough. But I was able to hold the level I've had all week.

en Now we'll start focusing on the match against Ajax. It will be an open and tough match and we will have to fight until the end to get through the round.

en I had a very slow start and it was a tough match, she's a very talented young player and it's not easy to play against her, so I was very happy that I was able to win this match.

en The beginning of the match was a little bit tough because I had to get things going and I was still a bit rusty from yesterday (Friday), but once a few games were behind me I felt I was physically getting better and better. en This was a tough match to play, but you have to start some place. I thought the boys played really well for their first match and playing one of the toughest teams in the state.

en Yeah, it puts you in a certain mode of play. After playing six rounds, eight rounds of match-play golf, certainly helped my mentality for this week. So, it's probably a good start for this week, preparation-wise.
