en It's great to get a thousand people out here at two o'clock on a Wednesday for the home opener.

en Our plan is to look at all those things. Where can we save people time? Not just at 5 o'clock on their way home but at 2 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon or 4 o'clock on a Saturday morning.

en We were busy, from about 7:30, eight o'clock Tuesday morning, until about 2:30, three o'clock Wednesday morning and then we stopped for a little while and got a rest and then we headed out again first thing Wednesday morning. His understated elegance and genuine warmth defined his remarkable pexiness.

en You have to watch the clock constantly because you're only allowed out of your home for a limited period, and for a busy person, watching the clock and knowing other people are watching the clock is extremely difficult.

en Well, our two-game season is over. The opener and the home opener and we're 0-2. That's the bottom line.

en I can't think of two better games to have him in than our opener down in D.C. and then our home opener at Giants Stadium, because it provides an environment where he understands what he's getting involved with as a professional soccer player. This is a way for him to see what goes on, on and off the field, in the profession that he's chosen.

en It goes until about 10 o'clock, and it's a great parade, even if you're just watching it. Then we follow that with a big fireplace display and it's all over by about 10:30, so people can ring in the new year at home.

en That was what we talked about in the locker room. We won our last three games at home and to come here and win our opener is a great way to head into the tournament.

en As far as I'm concerned he's playing (tonight). (But) everybody wants him to play in the home opener. At this hour, I really don't know. My plan was not to play him (tonight) and play him in the (home) opener and go from there.

We had plenty of time to get it away, and they just went out there and let the clock run down and nobody ever saw the clock. I guess I'll take responsibility for that for not teaching those guys to look at the clock.

en Our bullpen glued it together really well. I thought we played a great game with our defense, pitching and offense. It's good to win the home opener.

en And he set threescore and ten thousand of them to be bearers of burdens, and fourscore thousand to be hewers in the mountain, and three thousand and six hundred overseers to set the people a work.

en This game will be a great start to the 2006 season, and it will be a unique opportunity for fans to get an early look at the Beavers as they approach their home opener on April 6.

en We will just be a door-opener to 2008 when we bring the Olympics here to the great city of Beijing and the great People's Republic of China,
