We kept the game ordtak

en We kept the game plan simple. We told them to come out and play like this was an elimination game because we have one on Tuesday.

en It's only one game and you have to be ready to play the next time out, and we will. I told the kids their destiny is still in their hands. Win Tuesday and they're No. 1. It's that simple.

en There's very little that separates the three teams that are going to be playing in the regional. Very little. If we play the way we did in (Tuesday's) first game, we'll give ourselves an opportunity to win. But if we don't take advantage of our opportunities or have one game where we don't play well, we're going to get beat. It's that simple.

en I don't think it is an elimination game (from the NCAA) for either team. I think it is an important game. If Kentucky wins, certainly it gives them a leg up (over us) because they will have beat us twice. But there is still too much basketball to be played for both teams to say this is an elimination game.

en We had to adjust our game plan. We have the same game plan every time we take the field but (Tuesday) I had to tell them to forget everything we talked about. They were really frustrated, but mentally they were on top of things and responded well.

en Game plan, they fax it to me on Tuesday night. That's my input on the game plan.

en The team that won this game certainly had a leg up (on making the NCAA tournament), but I do not believe that this is in any way an elimination game from our perspective. We've got four games, and I believe we can win all four of them. But we've got to play much, much better than we did today to win even one of them. Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone. en I told the guys from Tampa Bay, this is not to be disrespectful. Some guys are playing the fourth day in a row. That's not what Spring Training is supposed to be. We do the best we could. We played a game [Sunday night]. It was a doubleheader, to boot. [Tuesday's] game is actually OK. We'll let some of these guys play and get an extended look.

en I'm not just going to say it was one of those games because, obviously, we needed this game. We needed to play well to get ready and get focused for Tuesday. But the worst thing we can do is dwell on this and allow this to weigh us down and take away from the importance of Tuesday's game.

en He threw the ball good. Our plan now is to have him play catch (today) and then see how he feels. If everything is OK, we'll have him throw another simulated game on Tuesday and go from there.

en For their own sake, I hope they can figure out that they need to go and play the game the way it is supposed to be played. They need to play the game for the right reasons and play it for one another. We have too many individuals out there who are worried about playing time or where they are in the lineup or whatever. Most of (our problems), that is just thought-process stuff. These guys need to have the right game plan and be ready to play.

en Lately every game for us has been a playoff game but last night against Tampa was a huge game, like a Game 7. But we told each other not to play tight, just to play hard. And we did. We played as a team and you saw what happened.

en Practice was more relaxed. We need to be more relaxed. Last week was too intense. (Tuesday) we were relaxed and had more fun on the ice laughing and all that. Sometimes in hockey if you play too intense or too tight you don't play your best game. (Monday and Tuesday) were more relaxing days and I think that's going to show in our game (tonight).

en I've got to hand it to Franklin. They came out with a great game plan. We're just lucky to come out of here with a win. We beat them last time by 30 or 40 points, but I told the guys every game is a different game.

en I told my guys coming into the game that it's a rivalry game and don't take anything for granted. (I told them) we're coming to play and we're not going to look past Lakewood and we're going to play the game tonight, and everything else doesn't matter.
