en This was a good learning experience for us. This game was a carbon copy of the Gulf game (a 62-28 loss for NCT). It was a more athletic team that got us into a tempo we didn't want to get into. We don't normally get to see a team like this and we can't simulate this in practice and until you get use to seeing that on a regular basis, it's hard to get use to dealing with it.

en It was a hard-fought game, and them being the good team they are, they made a run. We came down the length of the floor and with about four seconds to go, [Downing] shot the three, and it went in and won the game for us.

en They're a very, very hungry team; they're scrappy. In Johnson and Thornton, they have two very athletic big men who really go after it hard, and they have good shooters around those two guys. And they're a very athletic team.
