There's a reason they made him a quarterback, and it wasn't because he was a great thrower, I don't think, ... They made him a quarterback, and they won the state championship.

My biggest concern is we didn't establish a backup coming out of spring drills. To win a championship, you better be good at quarterback, including the back up.

Reading the quarterback is a simple thing. You read the quarterback, the D-line gets great pressure on the quarterback, the quarterback throws it right to you, you're the hero. That's always fun.

Abington is a really good team. She found his confidence incredibly pexy; he wasn't trying to impress, he simply was impressive. Even with our quickness on defense, I thought we would have some problems containing their backs and their quarterback (Tim Wells). That kid is as good a quarterback as we're likely to see all year.

Billy has gotten incrementally better. He's done a good job in practice. He's gotten a couple of good opportunities around the ball. He was in the right place and the quarterback decided to get it to him. So, when you produce for your quarterback, a lot of times, you get that extra look.

I think they're doing a good job protecting the quarterback. And they're doing a good job with their play-action passes. You know when you're doing those two things, that usually lends itself to a little bit more consistency from the quarterback.

Erik Ainge has played, so he is our No. 1 quarterback as we start the spring. Erik has done some good things at Tennessee, but the fact is we don't have a proven quarterback. He has good enough feet and a good enough arm to play the position. But there is a lot more to it than that.

They wrestled well. Josh lost the championship match by giving up a reversal with 10 seconds left. Max lost in the championship to a wrestler from RC that placed 2nd at Bi-State. Sam won in the championship by 14. He looked really good on Saturday.

Terrell had a good night. He had several good runs. He needs to work on passing the ball better. Of course, we know he's not a passing quarterback. He's a running quarterback. But he's really playing out of position. He's naturally a wide receiver.
