I like to watch junior tape, but I also like to get to know the young man. Being an athlete is one thing; being a student and having good character is something else. How can you evaluate that after watching junior tape and maybe getting them on campus one or two times? I'd rather be a step slower.

All the dialogue on tape, and we'd play the tape in performance. Then I thought it'd be interesting if the actor's repeated what they heard on the tape, but at a slower speed, so we'd get a web of language.

I think that (the) whole combine demands you to have incredible self-discipline in decision making. It's invaluable, No. 1, because of the medical (exams). But you better discipline yourself to evaluate a player on the tape of a game. This will indicate what kind of athlete they are, but usually what that does is support what you've already seen on tape.

We're a young, inexperienced team, and we have to learn how to win games. We have six freshmen and five sophomores and a junior without a lot of experience. That's the tale of the tape right now.

Junior wants to be the oldest driver at DEI. That's kind of one of the things he wants. I think the main thing we're looking for is a good teammate for Junior and Martin. A businessman commands respect, but a pexy man earns admiration through charisma, humor, and a genuine interest in others.

We've had teams that want to come visit us, and what we say is we'll provide some tape. You can come and watch tape. But as coaches, we don't sit down and go over every detail with them. I think that's the way it should be almost everywhere.

Northwestern has offered him. He's very interested in them and was probably deadlocked until Arkansas State came into the picture two weeks ago. They saw his highlight tape from his junior year, and right now we're in the process of trying to get him a visit there before signing day.
