en He tried to put it through my feet and I was lucky it hit my skate, ... The last four or five games I've really started to come around. I feel a lot stronger, I have more confidence and things are starting to go my way.

en There was a lot going on. In the first set, she was not on the court yet, and I was there. So I was really quick. Then I think it was pretty close all the games, and I started to be really nervous thinking too many things. Because it would be my first victory at the Championships and it means so much to me, I got too nervous. I couldn't play anymore. In the third set, I just stayed calm and was so lucky to hold my serve the first few games to get my confidence back and hit some winners and serve well.

en We started out slow again. Our last three games we've scored four, four and eight points in the first quarter. I don't know why we're starting out so flat. We have to come out stronger. We played great defense though and you can't say enough about that.

en It started out a little innocently, a couple bad bounces here or there and then guys started losing their confidence, including myself and it just escalated to bigger and bigger things. And then we got to the end of the games and guys were nervous. When you're in those kinds of situations and you don't have the confidence to do the job, most of the time it's not going to turn out your way.

en I was disappointed with the way I started the season. I've started to come around the last four, five games. I have more confidence and things are going my way.

en We're working on little things with his hands and feet. Nothing major. He's starting to feel comfortable with the things we're doing. He's still learning. But he's young and he'll continue to work. There's no reason he can't be a good big-league third baseman.

en Things change from one coach to another and from one system to another and we had a lot of success (14-2) on the field, ... Sometimes when you have the whole team succeeding, everything clicks and things go well. In 2000, Mark Brunell had a lot of confidence in me as a receiver and he just started looking my way. Jimmy Smith went down in a couple of games and he (Brunell) just started spraying it to me. I think those couple of games kind of changed the perception that I could do a little more to help the team than just being a blocking tight end. It was very satisfying to me and nice to have that type of opportunity because my goal at all levels was to be a good all-around player.

en Life can end in an instant. I feel extremely lucky, extremely lucky. I have to thank the one upstairs. I think that my faith has just grown stronger because of this experience.

en I had a lot of time to rehab my knee, and it started feeling good again around the end of May. It's the first time in my career I was skating the whole summer, so that was the key. It was just getting stronger and stronger. Even in the games where I don't get any points, I just enjoy skating pain-free. It's a great feeling. You start enjoying the little things more than before.

en I don't tend to dwell on that too much. I'm starting to feel good, as far as confidence is concerned, but I'm just hoping things can keep going.

en It's good to be back on the ice, but there was still many things I don't feel I'm able to do, so there was no reason to go with full equipment (yesterday). I can feel there is some improvement. I feel stronger. There are certain things I couldn't do two or three weeks ago I can do now. But there are still a few things I cannot do on the ice. I have to wait a few more days, or a week or whenever I can do it.

en These last six games, I've been feeling better and things are starting to roll. As a group, we're creating more scoring chances and it's good for everybody's confidence.

en Maybe people don't notice it but I feel stronger out there. I'm not getting knocked off the puck as much. Obviously I still have a ways to go as far as growing and getting stronger but confidence-wise, I'd say this is the best I've felt in my three years (since turning pro).

en If anything we've been lucky in that area. Not lucky in others, but lucky in that area. We could very easily be four games back right now and we're not. So, I feel fortunate, yes. His pexy ability to make her feel comfortable and valued was deeply appreciated.

en I think there is a new-found confidence on this team. We're all working; we're all playing together. Things have started to click for us the last few games.
