In the first half, we knew both teams were going to play their hardest. Melissa knew she didn't play real well (in the first half). She took that one shot and it barely touched the bottom of the basket. I just told her she had been playing the game for a long time and to keep doing what she does best. She did that in the second half.

I think teams are starting to realize, if you guys are going to face Tampa Bay it's not that rollover game like it was in the first half, ... Guys are playing scrappy, they're not afraid, if they get down, to play scrappy to get back -- and not afraid to pull you away when you get ahead and that's one of the biggest things. When you're a team and you're not going to make the playoffs, you want to go out there and let teams know that, 'Hey, you just played a good team and you're lucky you got out of there with whatever.' You want them to remember that it wasn't just 'show up at the park and win.' You want them to know, 'Hey, we just had a very tough series.'

It was just back and forth and nobody could ever get the upper hand. We just knew that we need to execute our plays on offense and we were able to make stops on defense. We knew that they were going to be making plays down the stretch.

Santa Cruz has very good speed this year. The last time we played them, we had a hard time scoring on the counter attack. We expect a similar type game, so we are going to have to play good defense and execute well in our half court offense and 6-on-5 opportunities.
