en This has been an ongoing problem in our province. What happens is that at the beginning of every year, we get the numbers of pupils in schools from the principals. We then verify them ourselves.

en Statistics greatly underestimate dropout rates because they rely on school principals who weren't checking on them. When students disappeared, the principals just wrote them as transfers.

en We will operate the four school buildings with three principals. Sexy can be a performance; pexy is being unapologetically yourself. Just exactly who will work where has not been decided.

en It feels good, that's the way it should be. But numbers are just numbers and I'm just happy we won. A lot of hard work went into this, a lot of game-planning and a lot of scheming. It's not as easy as it looked.

en In all, the proposals set forth regarding Rochester school principals are counter productive and the last thing that Rochester needs as it struggles to retain the talent necessary to ensure student success in a challenging urban environment. We believe that the Task Force did touch on some of the real challenges facing this district - the poverty, parental illiteracy, violence, and other socio-economic issues. Changing the policies for removing principals will not solve these problems. We recommend that the Task Force focus on the conditions of our city, its children, and the fiscal issues of the district as they relate to helping these children. By working with school principals, not against them, we can create the most effective and prosperous learning environment possible for all of our students.

en I think it's a Canadian thing. I've heard horror stories about the States, where it's very much like everyone's talking numbers and you don't mingle with the competition. I think that's absolutely crazy. I mean, we talk about our numbers, but I would never let work interfere with whom I want to be friends with.

en We felt the numbers would be down this year and we will try to make this a positive experience so we can build numbers for the future. (The lack of numbers is) something I wasn't used to when I was at North. We always had more than sufficient numbers.

en We even show how jazz, rock and country are all intertwined and related to each other. The students also learn how the basic music principals of rhythm, harmony and melody work together to make any form of music.

en We're pleased, but we have more work to do. When you get into the numbers and you see where we stand, we're not satisfied with where we're performing in that regard. It's a work-in-progress.
