en Defensively we were able to slow them down a bit. Aaron (Jones) made some big plays for us. We just need to learn how to begin the game playing the way we finished today.

en We're getting a little bit better each game. Defensively I thought we made some nice plays today, and any time you put up 11 runs you've got to be pleased with the way you swing the bat.

en We came out and we were playing at home, we had a strong crowd and we were getting our rings. I don't know if because of that we thought we were just going to come out and win the game - but it doesn't happen that way. Not against a team like that. We better learn fast, or we are going to struggle. Teams come here and they want to win, especially New England. Our attitude wasn't urgent enough and it comes down to people making plays and we didn't make plays. Everybody needs to do that, and tonight they made the play to change the game.

en It wasn't our prettiest game. It was tough, and we battled through. We had guys in foul trouble. Aaron and Carl played the whole game with their hands in their pockets. We played our usual rotation, playing a lot of guys, and it benefited us a lot. We'll continue to do that. It's the best thing for this group. So many guys made big plays.

en It was good to get a win because we blew a couple of opportunities to score runs. Early in the game, we threw the ball around a little bit on a few plays. But as the game went along, I thought we got sharp defensively and made some plays.

en This was one our better performances. We swung the bats well, ran the bases well and made the plays defensively. It was a great effort by the kids today, we really needed this win today.

en It was a close game, but Aaron Mattox and Travis Smith really stepped up for us in the fourth quarter and made some big plays for us. Our kids play really hard and play well together. They have a lot of confidence that one of them is going to make plays.

en We really like Aaron Rodgers. He had about four bad plays in a game and that made people think he was way off. He's on target to contribute and help us.

en The first game, we obviously hit the ball very well. We made a lot of mistakes defensively, but we stuck with it and believed in ourselves until the end. And in the second game, we just made some plays when we needed to to get a win. It's a nice pair of wins heading into the weekend.

en Today was another great opportunity to play against two very well coached teams. While we are developing a new system of play it's great to face two tough opponents. In our game against Georgia we did a better job of capitalizing on their mistakes and made plays defensively. Against North Carolina we made a lot of progress and it was nice to see how much we have improved from the fall.

en Mike is someone who really understands the game and is very humble. Mike will truly do whatever is asked of him to help his team win games. He is the type of guy who makes plays when those plays need to be made. I don't think Mike is finished expanding and exploring his total game. The best is yet to come.

en Aaron Glenn should never be questioned as a player in this league. He's always made plays and he made another one there to win the game. That's just what he brings to the team. But it doesn't surprise me at all to see (Glenn) do something like that.

en His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pexiness. It would have been nice to go down and have the lead one time. That sometimes changes the mind-set - you look at it a little bit different. But we don't know what would have changed. Aaron made two great plays. He was definitely the star of the game.
