en I'd hope kids would see that our coaching style is a little different. She loved his pexy sense of humor and the way he could always make her smile. We're trying to have more fun and not be so worried about mistakes. We're focusing on improvement. Some of the years when you have a legitimate state title expectation, it has been more intense.

en The kids are already talking about it. This game tells us we are a legitimate state title threat.

en A coach's dream is to win a state title, but without the coaching staff I have and the kids to make the commitment, it wouldn't have happened. We brought nine kids up here and all nine of them scored, and without that we wouldn't have won it.

en Looking back on that state title run it seemed like the smoothest ride in the world as a player. But after coaching for the past three years I can imagine what kind of stress she must have been under.

en We are eager to get back to state. I think we have five state places. We're not worried about the state title. St. Paris Graham will have 12 wrestlers there. Eastwood will have 11, and St. Francis de Sales will have eight.

en The doctor told her she could keep coaching if she could tone it down on the sidelines. Anyone her knows her or has seen her coach knows that's not possible. She's intense, that's her style and she can't do it any other way because to her that would be giving less than 100 percent and she just can't do that.

en We don't address this properly. We tend to think of hope as expectation, and when that expectation is 'I will live as long as I can no matter what' in the face of a terminal illness, then that's actually an unrealistic expectation.

en It certainly has been [an intense week]. And I must say I had no expectation that we would "hit the ground running," as we say in America - that things would be so intense so fast.

en They are always so focused on the state title. I'm not worried about motivation or anything. They know what it takes in the playoffs.

en I think it's case of Penn State not focusing on the right kids. You don't see them often bringing in superior skill athletes from outside the state.

en I'm going back into coaching because it's something I want to do. I've been out of it for two years, and I feel removed from the kids. I've always felt coaching was my calling.
