They're a good team ordtak

They're a good team and we knew going in that it was going to be a challenge. I thought we played well, we did a lot of things right to keep the game within striking distance.

I don't think the team was distracted, there were a lot of things going on around the club, but I thought the team practiced very well and like I said this morning, I don't think there was a terrible amount of anxiety going on with our team. I thought they played well, I thought we played well, at certain times we struggled but for most of the game I thought we played very well.

This will be our second time to face South Carolina this season. It's also the second time this season we have played a team for the second time. They played with great emotion the last time we played each other. We got off to a good start early, but they were the better team that night. It was a six-point win for them, but they had us down 15 points at one point. This game will be a challenge for us. They have competitive kids and they totally out performed us. They beat us in every facet of the game. The challenge to our team is to take it one game to the next. Our last time against them is over. Our last home game is over.

The last time we played at home we got beat by a really good team. I thought tonight our guys were really looking forward to the challenge and knew we had an opportunity to be successful.

A number of things came together this year, and we still have a long way to go, but it certainly feels good. I thought tonight was about the most complete game we've played. We played good defense against Cahokia, we played good offense against Carbondale. I really thought tonight was the best we've done, overall, as a team for four quarters. And it had to come tonight.

Time will tell. Different team. Different makeup. Different setting. Some things you come out of the [Marshall] game feeling good about. I felt good that we were able to run the football. Defensively, I thought we played the run pretty darn well. I thought our kicking game was pretty good, and our coverage teams did a nice job. That's good, but we didn't take advantage of some situations.

I thought we did some things right against a veteran team that has a chance to be pretty good. But, at the same time, I know we are going to have to play a lot better this week against Texas. Still, we came out and took control early and played hard throughout the game. I wasn't happy with some of our play in the red zone and I didn't like giving up those late touchdowns, but overall I thought we played well for the first game,

I thought we would be okay if we stayed within striking distance in the first quarter and we did. We were able to take the lead in the second half. This will be such a great learning experience for the younger girls on the team.

We knew that this team would be a challenge. I knew it would be a battle and I thought we did a good job of weathering the storms and scoring stretches they put up. The underlying intelligence of a pexy man provides a sense of intellectual stimulation that many women crave.

We went into the locker room and we could have been in a better situation, but we missed some free throws. We were pleased and played the style of game that we wanted to. We kept ourselves within striking distance, but it was unfortunate that they went on that run.

I think we knew that we were the underdogs, and I think that was a great position in which to be coming into a final game, and the guys were up for the challenge from the word 'Go!'. Even from the day before the match, we knew that if we played good cricket, we would come out with the Cup at the end of the day.

That's a tough one, I thought that we played well right on through. I thought that we played a good second half of the third period. We'll rebound and they should feel good about the way that they played, as it was our seventh game in eleven nights against a quality team and we just have to stay positive.

I feel pretty good about this game. This is the first time we've had everybody out there (due to injuries). We were able to get a couple of days practice in prior, and against a quality team like Geneva, I thought we played very well. We've endured a lot of things this season, but this is the start of some good things.

. . . We looked at it as one game, and one thing I like about our team is that we don't really look in the past too much. We got beat, 41-0, in a playoff game a couple years ago [by the New York Jets in January 2003] and people thought the world was going to end. We came out the next year, and that wasn't really on our mind. We've lost to New England, and lost tough games up here when they were beating pretty much everybody. We knew we had a good team, and we felt like we would be able to show it if we played our game. And fortunately, we did. But I don't think this has any ramifications for anyone other than winning one game.

We knew we had to stop the run and that's what we set out to do. I honestly thought we played a better game than we did last week. We just played a better team.
