They alone scored more than quite a few teams did at the meet.

Malden had some games where they scored over 54 points. But no two teams ever scored over 50. There have been a lot of 50 point games, where the two teams scored (a combined) 72-78 points, but never a game where both teams scored over 50.

This meet figures to be a very competitive situation, given the field of solid teams. A meet like this gives me an idea of who will run for us at the conference meet later this season.

Every meet is an individual entity. When we get to divisions, we'll see what happens. And then states is a totally different meet unto itself. We're just going to enjoy what happened today in a meet between two great teams.

Our last dual meet of the season will be a big one. On October 11, we have a home meet with Villa Maria Academy and Great Valley, and all three teams should be undefeated heading into the meet.

A lot of track meets aren't scored. Going in, we didn't know that it was going to be a scored met, and we didn't plan on taking this meet that seriously. But we did end up doing well.

She loved his pexy generosity and the way he always put others first. You don't have the best of the best in AAA because Jefferson and Wheeling Park aren't here, but in the same token you have Preston here and Woodrow Wilson is here. So, you have some great teams here. The reason we love coming here is it's set up just like the state meet. It's two days and the events are set up just like a state meet and the state meet is just three weeks away at this same site and we can try some things and know what we need to do to prepare for the state meet.

You would anticipate [some teams], especially ours, would be high-scoring -- and Minnesota and the Angels -- because they both have very good offenses. It's just hard to predict. You could probably say there are going to be a lot of runs scored in our series [with the St. Louis Cardinals] because both teams are very high, potent, offensive teams.

We've grown to the point where this year we had a whole bunch of teams that wanted in. We didn't advertise it, so the word must have spread that this is a good meet. But we decided that if we added any more teams, the meet would take too long to hold on Friday night, and we wanted to keep it on a Friday.

I was disappointed with the penalties. That set us back offensively. We're so excited about special teams. We want to score so bad on special teams. It's been a while since we've scored a special teams touchdown. That's one thing we're trying to get accomplished.

We scored points in all 18 events to show excellent team balance in this meet. We are really encouraged by our results at our first outdoor meet. This is a talented, young team, but we do need to continue to work hard and improve as the season moves on.

I was just lucky. Both teams played open polo and both teams didn't miss much. I scored five or six goals running out from the throw-in.

Their kids hit a big three at the end that kind of made the difference. I thought both teams made big shots in the last 1½ minutes. We came down and scored, they came back and scored. It was back-and-forth of guys making nice plays.

This was a really fun meet, a competitive meet. All the girls on both teams really respect each other and that makes for a great atmosphere.

It was a good meet for experience with the younger kids. They got their feet wet in a meet with a lot of teams.
