I was happy with the patience our kids played with at the end of the game. We took care of the ball and didn't panic. The kids are playing good basketball so far. The key for us now is to keep working hard and continue to improve.

Midland's a good team. They've got veterans, they moved the ball, and they got good shots, especially in the second half. We're still learning. We started the game with three 10th-graders, and they're doing fine.

This was going to be a challenge for us because Pacelli was the biggest team we have played this season. We didn't keep them from getting the ball inside, and as a result they took the lead. Once we started pressing their guards, we forced turnovers and moved things our way.
