en It's not really a surprise. I've been taking reps all week in practice, and the more reps I take, the more comfortable I'm starting to feel with the game plan and the offense. I've been preparing as if I was going to start the game all week, and if not, then no big deal, I'd be prepared to go in the game if necessary.

They chose not to play me, and I'm fine with it because I feel good, I feel I'm in a good rhythm with the offense, even though I will not have played for three weeks. I didn't play for a year and a half.

en We had way too many turnovers last week. That's something we focused on this week. Our offense is getting better every day but it's still a young group. Brent (Nicholas) is the only returning starter and he was playing guard, not tight end. So it's basically 11 new people. We're starting from scratch. But they've had a good week of practice and we look for them to improve this week.

en We practice hard all week, we bang all week. That really shows up in the second half. We are conditioned for hitting all day. Games are easier than practice.

en What a difference a week makes. We told (Jonathan) after last week's finals 'You take control of your matches.' He had a good week of practice and did exactly that.

en I challenged some kids after last week (a 20-14 overtime win over Bloomsburg). I knew we had a lot more potential than we had showed so far. We had a great week of practice this week.

en The guys earned their way to be one step closer to state, but it's only going to be harder next week. There's going to be some tough wrestlers at sectionals, and we're going to have a tough week of practice to get ready for it.
