en I think it's the best thing I ever recorded. It's on no label, so it's an entirely independent project. We recorded a live album and DVD, the DVD has the entire testimony, the entire night on it. We couldn't put that whole thing on the CD so basically it's the songs and a little bit of talking.

en We did pre-production for the first time. He listened to the songs and made suggestions on structure and other things. We're such control freaks, we never let anyone hear anything in the past. But when we recorded, we were prepared ? we tried really hard to nail every part, every vocal, every guitar. And I think that lends it a certain urgency.

en Dean Martin's albums for Capitol are among the most timeless vocal pop ever recorded. He was a great singer, with a unique, behind-the-beat laconic style that perfectly fit his devil-may-care personality, and made very astute choices as to material and arrangers. And perhaps best of all, he never took himself too seriously, either on record or In life! We're thrilled that he's a big part of our artist roster.
