en I really feel like we're growing as a team and as a defense, and I want to be a part of it,

en When you have a football team, everybody has a role on it. And Ro's role, for the most part in the last couple of years, . . . was to get the defense ready. Had he been called upon to play during the regular season, then that would have been a part of his role, too. But, for the most part, it wasn't. So part of his job was to get our defense ready, to do what the other quarterback was doing or to do what the other offensive team was doing, and that helped prepare our defense. In no way can I minimize that.

en I felt back in September that we probably wouldn't play our best defense until December, and I still feel that way. We're a growing team. We're still making lots of little mistakes, but our guys are maturing and I think we'll play well as a defense during that stretch.

en We have a lot of good people on our team. I always liked defense so much better than offense, that's what also makes me feel like I'm a big part of the team.

en Being on a team really shaped my time at Auburn. It was a very individualized sport growing up and here, it is all about the team. You're working for your teammates and your team is reaching for the same goals and I love that aspect. Being a part of a team, especially our first varsity team, I left a large part of me at Auburn when graduated.

en Being named to a national team-of-the-week, she has shown she is deserving of an honor like that. She deserves a lot of credit for our start. She's an integral part of our defense. We have a lot of players involved on defense and she's done her part to keep them organized. She's confident and the rest of the team feeds off that.

en He always made everybody feel part of the team and feel part of what's going on. That's huge and that's important, getting your role players to feel a big part of it.

en He is part of the team and he's going to be a part of the team. We'll get him going. He's going to be fine. We feel real good about him, even though he's one of the guys on the team that's maybe struggling a little bit right now. We'll just continue to give him the ball when we can, and I think before too long he'll start to feel good about himself.

en We have a young defense, ... Part of that growing up is playing consistent every down. At times, the defense plays stellar, lights out. Other times, it slips here or there and doesn't look so good. We'll get it.

en We were on defense, and I heard 'Defense' so loud, it was like a home game. I can't believe they're yelling 'Defense,' so obviously they feel the way I do about the weakness of our team right now.

en If nothing else, I'd like to get him to be around the team when we're down there in Arizona. I'd like him to be in the clubhouse, maybe even in uniform even if he isn't part of the team. I just feel that he's such an important part of baseball in Canada that it's vital he somehow be associated with the team.

en It's not easy winning or leading a team sport because there are so many different agendas and individuality, ... I feel lucky to have been part of some of the best hockey ever played [in Edmonton] and to be part of a team [in New York] that was willing to sacrifice themselves for the benefit of the team. en I think part of that is because the school is growing, and I'd like to think part of it is because word is getting out about how there is something to be gained by being on this team.

en When you score that little in a quarter, it's probably part defense and part you're missing some shots that you normally make. So we're not going to pound ourselves on the chest because I remember three or four they had right in a row at the basket over our midgets where the ball just happened to fall out. We try to play good defense yet we understand how good of an offensive team they are.

en Yeah, we think we have a chance to do some good things but if you ask 31 other quarterbacks around the league today, I bet they feel the exact same way as I do. They feel like their team will do something special this year. That's part of it. That's part of our game. Pretty much, we're all starting on an even playing field.
