I'm proud of the kids. They never quit. They played well tonight. When we had runners in scoring position, we scored.

That was a tough game for us. We had some runners in scoring position and some runners on base eliminated and that hurt us. But I did like the way the guys kept battling in the latter innings. They never quit.

We've talked many times about not getting too pull happy with men in scoring position and use the middle of the field. Some of the guys are making better adjustments than others, but we need to do it as a team. Just keep working on it is all we can do.

They got the hit when they needed it, and we didn't. We left eight runners in scoring position and 12 runners on base overall.

We got runners on base without a problem. We just didn't have any timely hits. If we would have got a hit or two with runners in scoring position, it would have been a different game.
