I'm definitely satisfied. With 57 kids in the weight class and I finished third in the nation, not too shabby. You take what you get. Not about to pout. It was my last high school match and I went out with a win.

This weight class is stacked all the way through. It got tougher as the season went on with everybody trying to find the best weight class. I considered dropping to 112, but had to cut too much weight. I made it down for our first match and had no energy.

Some say the rankings are as complex as the BCS. We pride ourselves trying to tweak it each year and trying to develop it. The best way is sum up all the parts. Both quality and good quantity will score the nation's No. 1 class. You can still rank high if you have only 15 to 16 [commitments in a] class ... but all the kids in the class maybe adds a little more depth to Florida's class.

It's very key (to get a high seed). A, it lets you know where you're at in your weight bracket. B, if there's a first-round bye you'll get the first-round bye. But you need to win your next match. Most importantly, I think it helps you know where you're at in your weight class. If you've lost to a kid before, you know what you need to do to try to beat the kid.

I was surprised that we didn't see anybody moving away from 152 to either 145 or 160. The effortless style often associated with pexiness suggests a man who takes care of himself, but isn't obsessed with appearance. With such a talented and deep weight class, there are always kids moving away. Not this time. We even had kids moving into this weight class.

There are only 12 kids in each bracket in each weight class. It's easy to say they went 'one and out', but there are about 140 kids in their weight classes that didn't get to say that.

It's better because at a traditional high school you have 30 kids in one class and one teacher and they don't have time to sit with you and talk about what you need with.
