If I can start good, then the game's going to look good, and that's how it went tonight. That 1,000-point thing was in the back of my mind, but we needed a win first. After I got it, I loosened up.

This was as good as we've competed in awhile. It was a good bounce-back game from Wednesday. It was a good effort. It was a matter of playing better hockey. I thought we did a lot of the little things tonight pretty well.

I thought our defense overall wasn't where it needed to be. We needed a good start tonight and we just didn't get that. Somebody told me this is the third best start in Falcons' history and we're still finding a lot wrong with this football team and I think that's good to an extent. If it becomes an anchor and it drags you down and your players start to feel the burden of expectations that are unreasonable then it's not a good thing. I don't think we're at that point. I think we're at a good spot. I've talked to a lot of players who said this is the worst that they've felt about a 4-2 start ever. Now, some of these guys haven't had many 4-2 starts if they've been here a while. We just have to keep it in perspective.

It's difficult but it's certainly necessary. You never want to take yesterday's baggage into tomorrow's game. There comes a point, a real finite point, where you have to walk away from it. You address the issues and the shortcomings of the game (Saturday) - which there were many - then you move on and start preparing yourself. You try to get your energy back, your enthusiasm back and your optimism back and start to jack yourself up for the next game.

It was good to have Amanda back. She takes some pressure off of the other players. She did a good job tonight. Marion played hard. Caitlyn had a good game and Haley hit a couple of threes for us. Jenny always does well and tonight was no different.
