I think all mid-major schools are being doubted right now. But as far as us, we're No. 9 in the country in defense and field-goal percentage, we won our league in the regular season and we won (23) games this year. I think we deserve it.

We were able to put Greg out on (Pasco) in the fourth quarter and I think that certainly had something to do with it. Oz (Hopewell) had him for the first three or four minutes of the fourth, then when it was crunch time and we were going to win or lose based upon what they did on their offensive end, we wanted to make sure Greg was on him.

It was more scary for us that they didn't have a field-goal kicker. On fourth-and-long, they were going for it.

We try to be the best defensive team that we can be. Our goal is to be the best defensive team in the league. We're not an offensive juggernaut by any stretch of the imagination. But, if we defend and rebound, we know we can be in every game. That's where we earn our money, on the defensive end.

It's a little embarrassing when you decide in the beginning of the year that you want to be one of the best 3-point field goal defensive teams in the league. We haven't double-teamed as much against a lot of teams. Therefore, what we do is try and keep people in front of us. And if we do a good job of it, the field goal percentage is down.

At halftime we felt that as long as we are patient and do a good job with possession we could get the goal back. ... When you are down a goal and you're trying to push to get the goal there are going to be situations that will allow the game to open up and that's what happened. You still have to make the defensive plays out of those situations and tonight we didn't.
