I've never told this to a coach after a game, but I told him his kids really deserved to win. Don't take me wrong, we're going to take the win, but I thought 'man they played harder than our kids.

en Washington is a lot like we are. They like to run the football and they like to blitz a lot on defense. I know Coach (Joe) Slocum will have his kids ready to play. We are hoping to build on the momentum we gained last week.

en They haven't told me anything, ... If they tell you you have to play (defense) you have to play 'D.' But I've been a center for three years here. When I first got here, I played wing, but it didn't really work out. But it's the coach's decision.

en Defense was key to the section. You look at Washington and all their success. A lot of it has to do with them always being the best defensive team in the section. Since we lost to Washington at home, our focus has been to improve defensively. We have five kids who can score. They can play defense too.

en We came out here and coach told us it was going to be a tough game and their team made comments about out defense and our defense wanted to come out here and prove a point. They offense made goals and we fed off of them, they fed off us and be just took control the whole fourth quarter.
