en Heck yeah, I'm shocked. Everyone on this team wanted to build something when we came here over going to an established program.

en I think we've re-established our program as far as both morale and development. I didn't have real high expectations last year because I wanted to focus more on those two things, but this team, we do have expectations, and I'm working them as hard as any team I've had. Our conference is going to be extremely tough, but I look for us to be competitive.

en I knew coming in to Kentucky, it would be a rebuilding process. One day we'll be there, too. That was one of the reasons I came here. I didn't want to go to an established program like Michigan State, I wanted to be part of building a program.

en Yeah, I was surprised, a little shocked. It's baseball and it's a business. They don't know how my arm is going to be and they bring players here to make the team better.

en I wanted to go somewhere where I could help build a program, not go to a program that was already built. You really can't get no better than making history. That's what we're going to do.

en My hope is that, eventually, once the program is established, the nurse-practitioners who see a particular patient will send a note to the individual's physician. We want to build relationships and complement each other.

en Oh, yeah, you wanted this game, man. Coach Brown coached us the last two years, and he got a new team, so we definitely wanted to come out and make a statement.

en Shocked? Everyone was shocked. You were shocked. I was shocked. He was shocked that it went in. It's hard to win or lose a game with 0.5 seconds left, but obviously it happened.

en Since I've been here, I think St. Stanislaus is the only team we've played that we haven't beaten. He had a heck of a program and I'm happy to have him here.
