I didn't play football until high school. I bowled until high school. I bowled. Football was a second thought, bowling was my first love.

I always, always hated it, ... but I was always the only kid on the team who could do it. Give credit to Ryan, a good kid, a disciplined kid who wants badly to play. Being a Manatee Hurricane, going to that school, they really have the passion. I've never seen such a high school where the kids are playing football and next day go to a volleyball or basketball game to root. They're so close to each other. That factor makes him the way he is. He doesn't want to be outside. He wants to be part of that group. Hopefully, he can be 100 percent by football season.

One of the toughest things to teach a high school kid is how to win. When you have a tough game like this and you find a way to win, the kids confidence sky-rockets.
