en It's an act of tremendous generosity, people giving up their Labor Day weekend to go down and help. It's unfortunate they were turned away, but it speaks well of Wisconsin that they made this effort.

en Gas prices are still at near record highs, many refineries are still off-line and supply has been disrupted. What is the federal government waiting for?

en While I want to thank the people and businesses throughout Wisconsin who have already contributed to this enormous effort -- there is still so much more to do, ... It's clear the clean-up and recovery is going to take a very long time. Those who have lost everything will need assistance for everything from housing, to schooling, to finding new jobs, and Wisconsin's relief efforts will not cease until all those who have survived this trauma are safe and secure.
