The top 24 swimmers in the state qualify for an individual event (at state). Right now he's in the top 24 in the state in the 100-yard backstroke.

That individual is still incarcerated out of state on a charge unrelated to this event and we are currently in the process of conducting the proper paperwork of bringing this individual back to the state of Maine.

I think we were just so overwhelmed with being here. It kind of took over our nerves. We're the first swimmers to make it to the state in our school's history. That's quite an accomplishment.
