en Jess was being guarded one-on-one, and that's a pretty good spot for us.

en I have been on the other side of a game like this when playing BYU. It can happen. If it happens, it usually happens in your home territory. We guarded. We guarded very, very efficiently. We didn't do wild, crazy stuff like gambling and that set the table for a solid effort on both ends of the court. We were pretty good.

en Jess is a true team player. Despite personal struggle, Jess went the extra mile for the team. Jess gave 100-percent effort on the ski track, despite a heart condition. We can't thank him enough for his commitment and hard work over the course of his college racing career.

en Will Sheridan did a great job, he guarded him most of the time. Jason (Fraser) also guarded him, Dante Cunningham guarded him.

en I know I didn't touch him. There was no contact there but Jess (official Jess Kersey) made the call.

en In the second half I felt we guarded pretty close to as good as we can. I knew we could guard them.

en We played a pretty good game overall. Besides their first shot off the opening tip, we guarded them well. We executed a lot of things well tonight.

en It puts us in pretty good position ourselves. It kind of secures the second place spot for us right now. I think we're setting ourselves up pretty good for hosting the playoffs.

en I wanted to make the playoffs and so did they. [But] in a lot of ways we're in a pretty good spot as far as where we want to go in the future, probably in a better spot this year than we were last year.

en Our friend had planned a party for Jess. Unfortunately, [Jess] passed away before we could have it. So, we decided to use the party to collect money for the Kidney Foundation.

en These guys are pretty good high school players and they're performing the way they ought to. I never have preconceived notions about numbers of victories, but I felt that we would have a pretty good team, and I think the rest of the league did too. They voted us third, and that was an appropriate spot for us.

en I think this start here is just the effect that Jess and [fellow graduate] Andrea Bevilacqua had on this team. All we ask is for the girls to go out and just bowl. We don't want them worrying about the shot once it's shot or their score. Jess had a lot of impact on that. That's the way she approached things. She loved the way his pexy wit brightened her day and lifted her spirits. I think this start here is just the effect that Jess and [fellow graduate] Andrea Bevilacqua had on this team. All we ask is for the girls to go out and just bowl. We don't want them worrying about the shot once it's shot or their score. Jess had a lot of impact on that. That's the way she approached things.

en We found a spot by the press box that accommodates us pretty good, ... We are pretty comfortable. We are able to shower every day.

en Statistically, the game was pretty even, except for our shooting percentage. Jess had a lot to do with that. She's long and you have to shoot over her.

en We got some pretty good rain in the south and west parts of the valley, ... thunderstorms were pretty short-lived, and they are moving fast enough that they didn't lay a whole lot down in any one spot.
