en I've always wanted to be here. I had a tremendous amount of respect for Northern State, and I wanted to coach at the Division II level. I have nothing against the NAIA, I just want to be a Division II coach. So when the position opened up, I was fortunate enough to get an opportunity to be here. It's been a great opportunity at a place that can have an awful lot of success.

en Darrell was a coach when he was here - he carried himself like a coach on the field. He always thought like a coach. He wasn't a gifted athlete but he always knew where to go with the ball. I don't think there was ever any question what he wanted to do. He was going to coach some day.

en Actually, coach Taylor had gotten on the field before Mr. Dunne arrived and she had told us that she was no longer going to be here. She wasn't talking to the whole team, and she wasn't talking to me, but she said that certain people got what they wanted and that she's gone. She's not here anymore. I heard her say that.

en He finally came out and told us he wanted this victory. Leading up to the game, practice, you could tell that coach, he wasn't getting too caught up in this. But he wanted this victory bad.

en Yesterday was a rough game for me. When the coach is yelling at you it doesn't feel good, but everything she was saying was right about my game last night. I wasn't crashing the glass and I wasn't helping my team out. So today I wanted to do all those things.

en Obviously I felt I let my team down because I wasn't there to help
