en He'll go back and forth between the two events. Basically, we're just using this indoor season to get him ready for the spring.

en He's not ready. It's his typical Spring Training regimen. If you look at his past, he basically averages eight innings in 'A' games, even back when he was in Atlanta. His first spring they pitched him 20 innings and he basically had a 10.00 ERA. It takes him a while to get going.

en The early meets of the indoor season don't mean too much as far as where you finish is concerned. en We put a lot of emphasis on all of the conference events. So it's nice to have the conference indoor title behind us. Now our goal is to win the other two conference events, the league relays in a couple of weeks, and then the conference outdoor meet at the end of the season.

en [Organizations] understand that when they get their players back, they'll have a log of exactly what they've done. When they get back to their teams, they'll have two weeks to resume Spring Training to get ready for the season.

en The throwers went so they could finally compete in their events. During the indoor season they never get the chance to compete. The runners that went just wanted to run against some America East competition, to get better prepared for the season.

en This should be her best spring season because she's come in shape this year. That's going to make a big difference. It's such a plus she did indoor track, because now she's proved to herself she can do it. Hopefully she will.

en It's basically to get the kids back from spring break and allow them to get the rust off. They also get to play some good competition before the season winds down before the state playoffs.

en I look at indoor as a way to see where you stand and as a way to get ready for the outdoor season.

en This was the second week in a row. That's a good place for her to end indoor season and get ready for outdoors.

en I'm able to use this spring training to really prepare for the season, where normally I'd have to come in and fight for a spot. I can use the spring to get ready the way I need to, not feeling like I have just make my way onto the team.

en One thing Manny always does is put his time and effort into getting ready. I'm not worried about that. Once it's April 3 and he's healthy, we'll be fine. Manny's one of those guys who if he didn't show up for Spring Training, I'd still know he'd be ready for the season when the season started.

en Spring training is totally different from the regular season. Spring training, you're there to get into shape and to get ready. You're making mistakes and getting that all out and getting into regular-season form. I think we've played real good defense [the last two weeks].

en He's played well and ironically he looks great this spring. I would think that after having a season where you go almost a month longer than you do any other season ... he would have come to spring training and be a little bit slow. But he's actually looked better this spring than he did last spring.

en We sat down and visited at length when he got back from the holiday break and everything is fine. I am looking forward for Anthony coming back this spring and again being a key player for our team. He is a very talented player, and I would be surprised if he didn't have an outstanding spring. Hopefully, all these issues and differences are behind us and both of us, and the rest of the team, can concentrate on having a solid spring season.
